Dial Templates

In order to create new dial kits, I need an accurate copy of the original dials to work from. These can be provided in a number of ways -

Supply originals - if you have spare original dial faces, or a dash pod, sending that down to me would be the best options. I can then scan in the dials, have all the necessary measurements, and can then create the artwork ready to produce a custom set. This is best done with spare dials, using your original and still required dials is not ideal as although every care is taken I cannot guarentee that no damage would occur to your dash pod in the process of gaining the templates.
Provide scans - This is also a good method. With this, you remove your dials and scan in the dial faces. Then take accurate measurements of the max width and max height of each dial face in mm. With the scans and the measurements I can prepare the artwork accurately and create the custom dials.
Provide photos - This is possible, but not the preferred method. With this, you remove the dials from your car, but instead of removing the needles and the dial faces to scan in you simlpy take a picture of each dial face. This needs to be reasonably high resolution and taken as 'straight on' as possible to avoid distortion by perspective. Again, accurate max height and width needs to be taken in mm and provided with the pictures. With this method, the accuracy of the fit is not guarenteed to be perfect, so I first send out a 'blank' set of dials for you to check against your originals. We then make any necessary amendments to get a perfect fit before making up the final set. This method may be preferred if your dials have needles which are known to be tricky to remove. That way, the dial kit can be developed and made up so you have them ready for fitment, which normally consists of cutting the old dial faces off before being able to grip the needle pin with long nosed pliers allowing the needles to be removed and replaced successfully.

Logos

If you have any logos or images you want on the dials, or graphics for that matter, and I don't yet have them on file, a decent high res jpg or gif will normally be sufficient for me to do the artwork and prepare the logo for cutting.
